HELP - 2010 Mazda 3 Bluetooth Issue

Not sure if this is the right spot for this.

I just bought a 2010 mazda 3 and trying to hook up my phone to bluetooth. The steering wheel has the voice command and dial/hangup buttons, but nothing happens when I press the buttons.

The owner manual says to use the audio dial to select bluetooth, but there is no bluetooth option when I scroll with the dial

is it possible that the car has the bluetooth buttons but doesnt actually have bluetooth?

Yes it's probably the case. I had an 08 lancer that did the same thing. You have to get the module installed.

yes, your car is probably bluetooth "ready", meaning it needs a module installed.

Do you have the build sheet? The last owner probably didnt buy bluetooth or buy the options necessary to have bluetooth.
