I work downtown on 8th ave and 9th street and I'm just curious if anyone else is down here and if so where they get their daily bread? With no +15 access over here, getting lunch is kind of turning into a bit of a hassle with no nearby food courts.

I'm far too lazy to make my own lunch so does anyone else have some spots they frequent? I'm getting sick of Dakota Deli and the Sate Sub place along the train tracks. Luxor is good, but $13 Mummy wraps add up fast. What else is there over here???? :dunno:

Holy Grill on 8st and 10th Ave is good, if you don't mind a bit of a walk

Dickens Pub around 9th and 9th is good too.

Rita's sandwiches - asian ladies that put their heart and soul into an amazing sandwich for ~$5
Chick pea - Shwarmas
Bagelino's - pretty good bagel sandwiches for breakfast/ lunch
Pho - 7th ave 8st not bad for DT pho.
Spice Cafe - 6th ave 7th st, really good laksa and burgers
Thi Thi Subs - 8th ave 6th st, not as good as the original Thi Thi, but it'll do.
Sushi Hiro - 5th ave 7th st

+1 for Ritas and Holy grill.

Viet Village was a frequent spot of mine

Sandwich place inside the husky building was good

There is a deli/burger/salad place on the 3rd floor also (can't remember name) in husky

Otherwise TD square is less than 10 minutes walk from there, you can spend a good chunk of it inside if you cut through Holt and all that.

Nexen deli, and choices is all around there. Scotia has a couple places inside. You can also use +15 to get to the foodocurt with Exterme pita, subway, A&W, Korean BBQ, teriyaki etc

+15 between nexen and building to the east.

Next to a coffee shop.

Roast beef wrap + small wonton soup < $7.25 alllll the time. So damn good.

When summer hits there's almost always a food truck parked in front of Nexen?

I've only been there once but there's the "End of the Line Cafe"?

BR!!! w00t w00t

I go to Olive Chicken, Chick Pea, Vietnamese Village, and on a pinch, that Crack Mac's chicken place

I have to give props to "Fresh Selects Deli"

my buddy who's Korean was like... lets go for Korean! I was like sure, and booked a car2go on 8th and was like, lets go!

he came downstairs without a jacket was like... no no, over here...
Fresh Select Deli...

I was like wut?

he was like ya!

I was like okay!

and the food was very very good.

They have a basic menu which includes subs/sandwiches, but the owners being Korean, have 4 Korean lunch menu items, which are Bulgogi, and variations of spicy chicken/spicy pork etc... with the sides of pickled stuff and Kimchi

Very tasty and very cheap!

I was "like" that's awesome

The pizzas and sandwiches at Gaga Pizza on 12ave and 12 street is absolutely amazing. Soooo fresh and well-priced. HIGHLY recommended. I used to go there 2-3 times a week when I was working in that area.

Olive chicken and Holy Grill are both really good as well.

Asian Village has good Satay Pho, and Viet subs, and not-bad american/asian food

Rita's sandwiches are really decent, especially their clubhouse and good soups too!

My fiancee says they have this Mexican restaurant named after a pepper (like chipotle or jalapenos or w/e) on 4th ave that's pretty good, but that might be a little far for you OP.

sorry but all I could think of was when I saw the thread title was:

cause like all other GTAs, the radio songs stick in my head :D
