Yeah I'm sure you wouldn't need to notify them if it is the same colour still. Why dont you pick up the phone and give them a call.:D

Be careful with the insurance companies....I watched a story on the news about a guy who painted his van in NOva Scotia. He told the insurance company and they cut him off....he asked if they would renew it if he changed back to the original paint, and they still said no....assholes...

i would assume you'd need to tell them. If your registration says your car is blue, the cop pulls you over and the car is ricer yellow the cop won't be too impressed. Or say he runs your car through the system and it pops up different, you know you'll be answering questions for a while. My 2 cents

Cops don't give a shit (usually).

If they do, it's cause he's really bored and wants to hang you with something. You can and will get tickets for having it misregistered.

Did you get your door jambs painted too? Any original colour left? Just show them that if you get pulled over...

true.
Just skip the hassle and get it re-registered,
it's about 50 bucks and it will save you a lot of grief if you get pulled over.

Since your car is a different color, Id tell em' man.

Not worth the hassles and chances of getting more tickets.

I think it's a pretty big deal since the colour of your car is on the registration. You should tell the registry.

But on the other hand, I wonder if you could use it as a technicality to get off a speeding ticket? Or would it just be grounds for another ticket?

just don't give the cops anything to bitch about, saves you time and headaches. There seem to be a few cops with too much time on their hands
