So I'm trying to plan a bachelor party for my brother and he wants to go golfing. I took a quick google search and come up with the ideas of LV, Phoenix, BC?, and other places.

Has anyone ever been to a bachelor party weekend featuring golf? I'd also like to do some other things as well.

Any suggestions? I'm not much of a golfer so I have no idea where there is good golf anywhere from April till August.

You won't want to be going to Arizona anywhere in April to August, maybe early in April but aside from that it will be way to hot. Especially if golfing will be heavily featured. If you want to do something special you can try pebble beach? Famous course though it can be a bit pricey, I'm assuming since you are planning a golf trip cost isn't a huge deal?

Vegas is always an option but again, avoid during July-August because it will be to hot. At least with Vegas there is the option for more traditional bachelor
Party type things if that's what you are into and in general acid actions and flights are cheap.

During July -August a BC trip could be fun, combined with general road trip shenanigans it would also leave more money to spend on entertainment rather than travel.

I went to Scottsdale on a golf trip at the beginning of May, and it was definitely warm, but not unreasonable. I think this is the perfect time to go, cause the golf is already cheap, and much less busy, however it's not too hot to golf. Most courses you're in a cart, so you have shade and aren't getting worn out walking.

Having said that, no way would I go in June, July, or August (To Phoenix or Vegas). If you're doing it in those months, BC is a much better alternative.

+1 for roadtrip shenanigans.

EDIT: +1000 for Whitefish.

We went to Whitefish one year. Rented a $3.5M 5000+ sq ft house on the lake for next to nothing, golfed, and hit some pubs in town one night. Did a nice dinner another night. Cost everyone like $300-350 each for the entire trip which is basically free for a weekend like that. Drinks are $1-2 at the pubs, it was absurd. This was in May I believe.

It's fun, cheap, nice place to be, and has lots to do. At the end of the day that's all most people need. It also doesn't prevent anyone from coming due to cost.

Tip: Do not tell the house owners/rental agencies that you are there for a bachelor party. Tell them it's an annual guys golf trip or something similar. We had more than one place refuse our rental request or cancel us AFTER fully charging and booking us simply because they found out it was a bachelor party and not a random gathering.

Whitefish is tough to beat for cost.

Invermere offers three great courses that are a bit closer to Calgary (Copper Point, Grey Wolf and Eagle Ranch).

I would also look into the Lake Shuswap as there are some great rental cottages there and good golf close by. Add in wakeboard boat rental, creepily trolling by staggette houseboats and it's a sure fire win!

As mentioned, obviously Las Vegas and Pheonix/Scottsdale. But two other pretty good alternatives are Myrtle Beach, SC and St George in Utah. Both have AMAZING courses, and aren't that expensive. You can rent condo's in Myrtle Beach for pretty cheap and get golf packages as well.

The Coure d Alene casino in Idaho has an impressive golf course and a pretty sweet casino/hotel resort. Worth looking into.

The US type trips do seem fun, but it's hard to gauge how everyones budget because there are people that make more than others lol

BC could be fun and would be less costly. I have never heard of WhiteFish, but that seems interesting. Does everyone use VRBO for rentals?

What website did you use to book that place?

Houseboating would be fun and maybe we might ball out on a luxury boat haha

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I will research more into this. I hate planning for other people

We just used VRBO to book. There were a bunch of nice places. Just DO NOT tell them it's for a bachelor party haha.

What about Mexico? Get a cheap all inclussive so you can drink all you can handle and go play a few courses. There are quite a few nice ones around PV.

In my experience Whitefish ends up being cheaper than BC once golf is factored in. We were golfing in Whitefish last May for a bachelor party and the most expensive course was like $60 which included cart. Factor in cheap booze and accommodations and the trip becomes much cheaper than BC considering the drive is the same length or less. Again, don't tell them it's a bachelor party or you'll have a hard time finding a place.

went to fernie and golfed with the boys for a bachelor party this past august, was alot of fun, the Fernie GC is a nice little track and Fernie nightlife is a good time! If you want to play a few different courses i would suggest: Invermere, Kimberly, Kelowna/anywhere in Okanagan.

Crossing into the USA does end up cheaper for sure. Save on fuel, booze, golf, and pretty much everything else.
