Hi,

I live in Calgary Alberta. I m kinda new here and hardly drive to SW or SE. I have some problem turning left onto 58 Ave SW after merging into blackfoot trail because there are 3 lanes to change and due to rush hour traffic (7.45am) its very difficult. I always miss my turn. Is there anything I can do so that I dont miss my turn? Any Ideas? I have posted a image of the road in this thread..

Thanks..

Option 1: Be more aggressive.

Option 2: If you can't do that turn right at 58th ave and make a u turn at the first light.

Option 3: Don't exit on Blackfoot. Take your next exit (Center Street) and stay on that until you hit 58th.

C'mon all you ass-wipes - OP was good enough to come in here to ask for help and ya jump all over them.

Fuck, first it's lets all rag on what we perceive to be incompetent (to us) drivers and here's one looking for assistance and they also get ridiculed. Nice.

Thanks for another one of your informative posts. I will try and come up with some better options.

where are you coming from? if its from the south, take southland to blackfoot and have all the time in the world, or if you come off on glenmore maybe go past heritage meadows and merge in off of heritage, need a little more info

If you check the little map in the bottom right corner of his screen cap it looks like he's coming southbound deerfoot.

could always exit at blackfoot/17th and then its a right hand turn onto 58th... wouldnt have to sit in gridlock on deerfoot and glenmore either

Drive a lifted Dodge Diesel and roll coal the second you signal lol and just swoop the fuck over lol seems to work for me each and every time.

This is actually a good idea as well. I'm guessing the time it takes on Blackfoot South to 58th Avenue would be very similar to taking Deerfoot South all the way to Glenmore.

This should be your number one option.

Drive to work earlier lol.
Get more done in the mornings - leave work earlier.

I take that exit daily and I come so early there's never any traffic yet (6:15am ish?)

Then when I leave an hour early home there's less traffic too!

The correct option is to come to a complete stop in your lane until someone lets you into the next one. Rinse and repeat until you're in the far left lane.

Don't forget your hazard lights and the innocent wave. :D
