i actually saw a tiny piece of this come down as a metorite on Wednesday night as i was driving west on country hills blvd, just one quick streak in the sky, it was pretty kewl to watch

No you didn't. The comet was/is nowhere near the Earth.

Got at least 1 other person who witnessed it..........just a piece of random falling debris from something else? comet seemed to be a likely culprit to me.....
