Hello Beyond,

I started a local group in Calgary for Young Professionals to meet and get to know one another. We are holding our first meeting on December 10th at Korq on 9th Ave and 6th Street SW (formerly SOHO).

The idea behind Young Professionals group is to meet new people who may have similar experiences with their personal and professional life to build friendships and grow their personal networks.

You can find out more information about the group and our Meet and Greet at either of our:
Meet Up Page (http://www.meetup.com/Young-Professionals-Group-of-Calgary/)
or
Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/YPGCalgary/)

Or simply reply below to RSVP to the event!

Korq Winehouse & Kitchen
801 - 6th Street SW, Calgary, ab
Korq is on the corner of 9th Avenue and 6th Street SW (park either at 620 - 9th Ave SW or across street in large parking lot on 9th Ave)
Starts at 7:00pm

We are taking donations for the Calgary Food Bank, and also will set up to make online donations to Inn from the Cold.

Hope to see you there!

Todd Purcell

The definition of professional as far as joining the group would be, anyone living in or around Calgary who is either working in a field they designate a career or are looking to get into their career. It could be sales, engineering, law, medical, or if you simply love what you do. I warn anyone who is trying to promote any of the next best business opportunities or MLMs that they are welcome to join, but this is not a recruiting ground. It is a place to meet people, generate ideas and have fun.

I welcome anyone and everyone who is interested as long as they have something useful or interesting to contribute. I have had to take a hard stance recently on the Facebook page to eliminate spammers and people just interested in soliciting the group. There are a couple of members that have been warned as we do not want to promote just advertising to the group.

I apologize in advance for any grammatical errors as I am replying on my phone.

Sincerely,

Todd

edit this would be akin to a meet. I posted here as it isn't specifically for a cruise or car related meet up.

Well, I may be wrong, or using a lost meaning of the word, but I believe the meaning of the word group is defined as:

group - noun

Common pronunciations - groop or grewp

Although the origins of the word appear to be lost to the ages, scholars have determined the original meaning of the word group to be a gathering of three or more individuals in a field flailing their arms in the air for no apparent reason.

related topics - Politics

or this link may better define the meaning

And thank you for the laugh this morning!

Cheers,

We have had a great year and want to give back to the communities that have helped us get there.

JoAnne placed in the Top 75 Mortgage Professionals in Canada for 2012 and we have consistently been among the top Dominion Brokers across Canada.

If you are able to make it out we would be happy to have you, and it would be great to chat more!

Sincerely,

Todd Purcell

I'd suggest to change the group to make it so admins have to accept people into the group and then kick spammers. I looked at the facebook group out of curiousity and its just spam, no way would I want to join.

Will meetings involve group sex orgies that end up on pornhub? If so, will they feature dancing bear?

It went very well. I think he left with at least one eyebrow and the tattoo artist got stuck in traffic.

It was a good group and great food. I will post our next function once we decide on a day!

 No tattoos and I still have most of my facial hair (or lack thereof), but I definitely drank enough of their kool-aid for me to knock over some glassware - right onto Todd's girlfriend too... Great first impression, huh?

Definitely agree, it was a well organized event and a great evening overall. Just wished there were more beyonders there representin'. Gotta solicite your bodies (*ahem* network) more often guys, c'mon!
