how would I know if this would work on my pc? at the moment I got intel (R) core(TM) i7-2600k cpu at 3.40 ghz and if it does work how much of a good would it be compared to what I got>?

What you just quoted is a CPU. What is for sale above is a video card. Two completely different things.
