Anyone else get an email from this genius? He told me to email him the details. Instead I texted him back and he actually replied...
In the email he replied to me it was the generic paypal scam.
Trying to get me to ship the vehicle, but it's a Calgary number...
Just going to go along with it and mess with him for a bit lol

I got it every week this past summer when I was selling a car on kijiji.

He would text me, asking me information that was already in the ad, and asked to respond via e-mail. The exact same text every time too.

It almost sounds like it might be a caller ID spoof if the guy you texted already knows about the scam.

I was told if you reply by email they can use it?
I normally text back telling them I've sent the number to the RCMP Internet fraud division and the texts stop.
