I'm looking for an Xmas gift for a roommate. He recently purchased a wok (I don't know what size but it was enormous) from Vietnam, but it recently started to crack.
He says that he has tried looking around Calgary ( I think he only looked in Chinatown or TnT) but hasn't been able to find a wok of that size/quality.

My question is, does anyone know a place where I can find a Wok of great size ( I think 14" or more?) and quality in Calgary? I'm planning on checking out William-Sonoma and other places like that.

Thanks in advance and Merry Xmas;)

BTW, the wok looks something like this:

I wouldn't bother checking normal north American stores like william-sonoma. The one speedog linked is probably your best bet.

Yeah if B&J is that place down across the street from Domino's, they'll definitely have woks there.

Wok are u looking for?

Flat bottom wok is pretty hard to find. Round bottom wok doesn't work too well unless it's gas stove.

Actually from the Williams-sonoma store too (http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/hammered-round-bottom-wok-ring/)

edit: I remember seeing them here (https://maps.google.ca/maps?q=chinatown+calgary&ll=51.050228,-114.061547&spn=0.000003,0.004128&fb=1&gl=ca&hq=chinatown&hnear=Calgary,+Division+No.+6,+Alberta&t=m&fll=51.050279,-114.060635&fspn=0.001632,0.004128&z=19&layer=c&cbll=51.050234,-114.061701&panoid=1oJXXz0QHuqQDma01mcgNg&cbp=12,157.21,,1,4.1) as a kid when my old man would do grocery shopping there.
