Hey guys,

Anyone know where I can pickup a room to room or room to ourdoor exhaust through-wall fan in Calgary?

I tried looking at Home Depot, Rona and Lowes and none of them seem to carry a through the wall type of fan.

Looking for something like this

Damn that's one expensive fan. Home Depot in the states has these type of fans in different CFM ratings starting at like $50 bucks up to $150 for the biggest ones. Broan makes them, have them on their Canadian site, but short of calling every one of their distributors, it is hard to find.

Don't use these for bathrooms. Our climate isn't exactly great for this style, probably why you can't find them.
Just did a retrofit bathroom fan in my place. Had it exit through the side of the house via the attic. I could give you some ideas on this if you're doing it in your place.

I put that Broan 509 in my garage hooked up to a humidistat to dump out the humid air in winter when the snow is melting all over to keep my tools from rusting.

I looked all over. It's a ripoff in Canada, and you'll get bent over shipping it from the US.

I got mine through the US Amazon site. It was $80, but shipping was $50 for it and the humidistat. Ugh. $180 all in...

This is exactly what I am trying to do. I ordered one of those all in one fans before for my house (wizvent), and while it works, it takes a long time to get the humidity down. My dad wanted one for his new garage and I didn't want to spend $180 bucks for a wizvent since its a massive ripoff. Home depot (US) carried the 509 for like $82 bucks but locally found one place that wanted $220!! Did a quick google search and found the 509 on Amazon.ca yesterday for $100 with free shipping :D

Ordered it yesterday. Might hookup a humidistat to it, or just have it manually powered on and running all winter. Plan on getting a 509 to replace my wizwent in the future as well.
