In what could be a design preview of the next TT or the upcoming Q1, Audi has unveiled its Allroad shooting brake concept car here in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The two door crossover features a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0L TFSI gas engine that outputs 292 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque with a pair of electric motors that helps boost the total power output to 408 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. The 3500 pound Allroad shooting brake can reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.6 seconds, and it only takes 1.9L of fuel per 100km. The 8.8kW battery can store enough energy for an all-electric range of 50km, while in hybrid mode the vehicle has a range of 820km.

Will never make it to North America.

The current Allroad totally screw the fanboys. Let's jack up a A4 Avant 2.0T and charge $30K.

If this design foreshadow the next TT, looks like Audi is going for more sharp edges on the exterior designs.

If you like the Allroad Shooting Brake concept, pick-up a Porsche Macan. They look identical.

I thought the term "shooting brakes" refers to those CLS wagon looking vehicle. Thought this would be more of a small Crossover like the JUKE, for example.

But if those numbers are legit, I think it's time to trade in the Prius! :D :D

yes this will be the next TT basically minus the hatch, this happened with the last shooting brake

the lights, hood, and sides ended up being exactly the same, only bumpers diff

A shooting brake is supposed to be a 2 door wagon (well 3 door with the hatch). This however is just a hatchback IMO, but at least it's closer to a shooting brake than what Mercedes is calling their regular wagon... http://forums.beyond.ca/st2/mercedes-cla45-amg-to-debut-at-ny-auto-show/showthread.php?s=&postid=4213476&highlight=shooting+brake#post4213476

The term has been used since early 19th century. Today, a popular example would be the M Coupe "clown shoe"
