I am curious if anyone here uses one of these. I have to carry two phones (work and personal) and I absolutely hate it. One is a Calgary number and other is an Edmonton number, although they are both with Fido.

I know there are TONS of Chinese phones that are dual SIM but I don't really want to get something crap, especially if that is going to be my only phone. So I want something that is good and modern enough and has all the features like LTE etc.

I'd like it so my both SIM's work simultaneously. Wondering if you guys can give me some recommendations as to which phones I should be looking at. Thanks in advance!

Check out some of the higher end Nokia phones. All that other Chinese shit is garbage.

From my experience Dual SIM phones don't work too well for users in Canada for one major reason:

Both lines do not get data.

E.g. Phone # in slot A will get full LTE etc. Phone # in Slot B is only running on GSM, therefore voice and text only.

I'm with you, I'm shocked that no company (especially BB) has come up with a fully functional dual sim version of their flagships (HTC One, S4 etc). This would be perfect for those with a work phone.

I would love to find a work around so I can just use my Android for everything.

That's actually exactly what I need. I don't need both SIM's to be running data as I only have full data plan on one of them. The work number is simply for calls and texting.

I was looking on ebay last night and there seem to be some Samsung, Alcatel and Blu branded phones that are dual SIM among the other garbage China made phones. Just need to do my research and see what is best. Samsung Duos seems like the best option so far.

Actually doing some research online it seems like there is a mini S4 version that is dual sim as well as a HTC One dual SIM version. It's just that they are hard to find and I can only see them on ebay. The prices aren't necessarily cheap either.

BUMPing an OLD Thread too see if any Beyonder's have updated experiences.

Looking for a dual-sim phone so i don' t have to carry both work phone and personal phone around all the time.

Not too familiar with the variety out there:
- dual sim stand-by ?
- dual sim active ?
- ones that have 3G on both cards simultaneously, versus 2G ?

I've read ok things on the Asus Zenfone 2 , price good but at 5.5" , its a little too big for my hands.

I have a Samsung S4 Mini that I picked up from Ebay after I posted this thread. I like it, fairly quick and does everything a dual SIM phone is supposed to.

I have a Doogee DG800 from DX that works for me:

I have one SIM for voice and then I found the least expensive data only plan for the second SIM. For phone calls, I try to use Google's Hangout dialer if I'm at home and then use the voice plan anywhere else.

The phone works good, but there are some things that I don't like about it:

the headphone jack is flimsy and your headphones don't secure into the jack easily
it doesn't work with a lot of providers. I usually bring an older phone with me if I'm traveling.

The phone allows one SIM on 3G service and the second SIM on 2G service so it might not work for you, deee_wreck.

Xperia Z3. High end, new and dual sim works great.
