So much stuff happening right now - it's like a giant gentleman's soap opera!

I know that people have negative attitudes towards Vettel, but I'm rooting for him this year. If he wins the championship again, I think it's safe to say that he'd be cemented as one of the greats in F1 and will silence the naysayers.

Other than that, I'd like to see Massa come out strong and see the podium again. He's been such a team player and under Alonso's shadow for so long...

McLaren. Good luck with Vettel this year. No more EBD.

I hope Raikkonen takes the title, but all I really hope for is a competitive season versus what we saw last year. Also hoping to see good things for Hamilton, but not expecting much from Mercedes post Brawn. Would be great to see Button on the podium again too.

Excited for the car reveals this week.

:werd: so many haters but I'm rooting for him.

Also Sergio Perez. He seems like such a solid driver.

Anyone but Vettel for this upcoming year... Will start cheering for McLaren in 2015 when they switch over to Honda power.

Vettel and RBR will be back down to earth with the rule changes and new powertrains, and Lotus will fall back into the midfield. Renault's allowed engine changes prior to the 2010 season for "reliability reasons" during the engine freeze era effectively gave a huge advantage to Renault based cars from then on.

Renault's V8 was down on power, all of a sudden they had the engine that was better than MB/Ferrari in almost every department. Power deficit was gone, fuel economy was up, drivability was up, and most importantly, the engine was blown diffuser friendly. MB and Ferrari weren't allowed to touch their engines, effectively running 3 years older engine technology. With new powertrains, all 3 engine manufacturers are on the same starting point.

All this coupled with the new exhaust position, the whole EBD concept is basically dead. You can quote me on that.

edit - I love digging up old Autosport articles for reference.

This comes after Renault's customer partner Red Bull Racing openly felt it was unfair that not all engines were equal despite an engine freeze.

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner said: "I think the problem is if you don't allow some development, then you freeze in an advantage for one team or a disadvantage for another.

"So there has to be a balancing of that, otherwise we will end up with Mercedes-powered cars winning all the races - which I think is not good for F1. And other manufacturers may choose to leave F1 off of the back of that.
Funny how they didn't complain when they started winning all the races.

Vettel will take it this year regardless of the engine issues. He's just the best driver out there.

Just getting caught up on my news and just saw this, I think McLaren may be the team to watch this year...

Cool that they picked up Boulier. Brawn has ruled out coming back.
