Beyond recommended carpenter?

Any carpenters here on Beyond or recommended by Beyond from work they've done at your house?

I want a Murphy bed built in my spare bedroom with a bookcase on one side and a desk with a storage cabinet above built on the other side. I e-mailed a journeyman/red sealed carpenter from kijiji who has references, but his e-mail replies are rather short. I get the feeling it's too small of a job for him to do, even though that's what he was avertising.

Preference is to someone who's built this type of thing before (I don't want to be the guinea pig).

I should add a few caveats:

- Reasonable prices (don't get me wrong, I'm willing to pay for quality, but I won't want the top notch guy who's prices are 3 times more than the equivalent)
- If you recommend them, have they built something for you in the past?

Built me a custom electronics cabinet. Cost around $750.

The only way you're going to know what people charge is to look around and ask.
