Sad news. I loved him in Charlie Wilson's War.

My favorite was Love Liza which ironically was about him fighting an addiction.

"The Big Lebowski" as Brandt, and in "Magnolia" as a male nurse come to mind, I thought he was a terrific actor and I often selected movies based on his name being in the credits.

Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars.
Brandt: Ah hahahahaha! Wonderful woman. We're all, we're all very fond of her. Very free-spirited.
Bunny Lebowski: Brandt can't watch, though, or he has to pay a hundred.
Brandt: Ah haha. That's marvelous.
The Dude: Uh, I'm just gonna go find a cash machine.

Fantastic actor. Wonder what the next Hunger Games movies are gonna do without him.

Pretty sure that the first part of “Mockingjay” is filmed and in post production. Not too sure about the second part.

Despite all the good movies he's been in, the first role I always think of him in when I hear his name is the creepy gay dude in Boogie Nights.

Man, that's a great movie.

Hunger games is probably ruined, would it be too much to ask big name movies like this to invoke mandatory drug testing before/during/after filming until all of the movies are done?

One of the most talented actors of his generation IMO. Everything he's done has ranged from really good to spectacular. He seems to play the most interesting characters which is a testament to his skill as an actor. He was amazing in Owning Mahowny but my favorite was his character in 'Happiness'. THE most offensive and hilarious movie I've ever seen.

A search of the home of Philip Seymour Hoffman home turned up used syringes and approximately 50 bags of heroin, according to law enforcement officials.

Police also found drug paraphernalia and prescription drugs. An autopsy is expected to be performed on Monday.

The Oscar-winning actor was found dead in his West Village apartment on Sunday morning with a hypodermic needle in his arm. He was 46.

Hoffman, who won the best actor Oscar for “Capote” in 2005, most recently appeared at the Sundance Film Festival this month to promote his new films “God’s Pocket” and Anton Corbijn’s “A Most Wanted Man.”

He was also shooting the “Hunger Games” follow-ups “Mockingjay Part 1″ and “Part 2″ in Atlanta, reprising his role as Plutarch Heavensbee from “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

Doesn't matter. We are all going to be radioactive by the time it comes out anyway.
