Coming up pretty quickly here, we got confirmation the new Corvette Z06 will be there.

I usually spend 6+ hours every year there, and try to sit in every car if possible.

Anything else exciting people want to see?

I'll be there open to close as per usual.

I hope the new C class is there, and GLA.

I also want to do some back to back comparisons with the A3/CLA/BMW 2 series.

Always curious to see if any of the usual suspects finally decide to bring competitive build quality to the table, and the car show is the easiest place to make comparisons.

I find just about everything interesting there, I'll have no problem killing a day.

It shows you what new cars they anticipate will be there on the website if you go to event details. It says the M3, M4 and M235i will be there, who knows if you can sit in them though.

It doesn't list any MB cars though, I'd like to see the new GLA in person and see just how big it is inside. Too bad it's a bit early for the 45 though

Was there tonight and there were some surprises for me. I was really disappointed in the cla250 with its cheap/ hard plastic interior and its ipadish nav screen. I was blown away the new A3 sedan, what a great looking car and the 2.0 quattro coming in around the low 40's will make it a great competitor. The color choices for the M3 and M4 are different but they work and look rather good. My favorite car though was the aventador spyder in red

Anyways, lots of nice new cars to check out this year!

I've been toying with the idea of picking up either the CLA45 or the S3 in the coming year. I went to the show last night and it was too bad MB only had the CLA250 on display (and yes, totally agree on the cheap interior), and the A3 was a Euro spec'd S-Line (which was leagues better than the CLA's interior). Hard to do a "real" comparison of the two though especially with the options list between the two being so different. That said, apparently Hyatt MB has a CLA45 available for test drive right now. Might stop by in the next few days to test drive it while everyone else is at the car show!

Was very impressed by the A3, A6 and Corvette and very underwhelmed by the CLA and WRX. M3 was really impressive also except for the price. $100k w/ all options

The V60 was also pretty cool but will be a hard sell at $60k w/o R-design/Polestar.

Corvette was excellent (expected) and the A3 did not disappoint. Surprise was how awesome the F-Type is, in both coupe/conv form. And they were open! And so many cars had power so you could see the lights, move the power seat etc.

STI looks fantastic but disappointed it's the same motor. Again.

Focus ST still has the best seats IMO. Fiesta a bit tight.

235 is super awesome until you turn on the dash and it's the SAME ALL-AMBER gross lighting since dinosaurs roamed the earth. It's so ghetto-spec compared to everything else.
M3 was locked.

I'm going back tomorrow night. Realized I missed the 2015 mustang - or they just didn't have it. Did not see the GMC/Chev smaller trucks (canyon/colorado?) They were unveiled this year. Porsche was disappointing. 1 911 and 1 Cayman.

^^^Ftype looks awesome in person, so wide, such a nice profile.
Focus st was awesome and fit well and I also found the fiesta st seats to be small.

M4 was locked when I was at BMW but M3 was open but both were the same price....No mustang though at all was a dissapointment. Was surprised no Macan though, cayman was

Agreed with everything here. Corvette interior was so comfy but the roofline was quite low and I'm not even average height. A3 was nicely put together, solid feel and 42k for the top quattro 2.0T is a great deal. First time sitting in the Focus recaros, hot damn they're nice.

GTR was open. First time sitting in one and honestly wasn't as exciting as I thought I'd be. The Jags after this left a much better impression.

Compared the FRS and BRZ interior and much _prefer the Subaru.

First time in the land rovers and the leather in them is very impressive (though it better be given the price). The evoque was even smaller than I expected.

Decent show overall. The RS7 is so badass from the front!

As everyone else pointed out the A3 they had there was really nice. I like the interior and exterior styling way better than CLA.

STI and WRX didn't do anything for me. Inside they are basically the same as previous generations save the awsome steering wheel.

Kias (Forte5, Soul, Rondo) really blew me away with their interiors. Hugely impressive for cars under 30k

100% agree. The options and interiors available on the Kias are very impressive. My GF was loving the Kia Rio 5 there, the interior design and buttons scream VAG group and feels that way too.

I agree with the A3 vs CLA. CLA was as bad as the 320i. M3 you could tell where the money goes as it was better in every single way.

I don't know what I was expecting out of the WRX, center console and cluster is nicer now along with the wheel, but overall it feels the same as the last gen. Still a good performance bargain though, but not what I am looking for in my next car.

One other thing was that horrible pearl paint on the ATS. Looks like it was done by west coast customs :barf:

- Corvette was hugely impressive.
- BMW 435i looked good, the interior felt a bit cheap. M3/4’s looked good. It's too bad the doors were locked.
- All the Mercedes cars were hugely disappointing.
- Impressed by the new Audi’s – their interiors are second to none
- STI, the car looked worse in real life. Interior is average, it feels the same. The steering wheel is awesome.
- The new ranger rovers are quite nice.
- TLX looked really good

Ya no colorado or canyon i guess. Lady said there are only like 5 in existence and only the bigger shows in the states get them.

Agreed on the new F150, I like the new lighting on it and thats pretty much it. The front doors where they meet the glass swoop down really low too. Looks like you would see the drivers leg through the window its so low, fugly!

I liked the A3 cabin, simple German style that they've always stuck with, the CLA was nice too I thought but moving forward somewhat from what they usually do.

The STI was always full of oogling HS bus pass kids, but I did sit in the WRX, never been in a subaru much except for an old school XT and a GD WRX, I see what people mean by bland and nothing exciting inside.

I ventured into the midsize 'non popular' Asian sedan realm too to see what the KIA Optima Turbo vs the Mazda 6 was like since the price range was on the same level, the Mazda 6 is a well designed car I thought, albeit crappy engine throughout all trims, the GT is a clean cut design imo, on the other hand, even if the Optima Turbo is just a face lift this year it's a really well proportioned car imo, 250ish hp is pretty awesome for KIA I think.

The IS interior also stood out to me, really interesting that the transmission tunnel bulges out so damned much on your right leg but after sitting in it for awhile, it's like a leg reliever imo, still so awkward that it bubbles out that much. In the end couldn't justify spending that much for the IS250 Rwd, the engine's output is nonsense for whatever the price was 37k or something.

The Nismo Juke showed up for a second year, no price mentioned but the interior I thought was awesome, OK maybe just those seats, hate the stripe down the middle but otherwise interesting, if they can keep below 30k even better.

Also, Volvos are expensive as shit, but I guess I shoudve known that.

Edit:wanted to see the R32, but nope just one Golf showcased.

There hasn't been a VW R32 for 10 years now :nut:

The Golf R will pretty much be the same inside and out as the GTI. A few extra tail pipes, different wheels and speedo needle colors will differ.

The interior of the GTI and Highline golf are basically identical, it was biege, thus why they didn't want thousands of people getting it dirty. There was nothing different interior wise between the GTI and golf Highline.

Also, if someone was seriously interested in seeing the golf we brought them up to it.

Went last night, nothing really totally stood out for me other than looking at the WRB BRZ and wishing I had gone for blue or silver instead of red.

Korean interiors are better than Japanese interiors these days in my opinion, new WRX and STi were not impressive at all, A3 had one of the nicest interiors of the show, Mercedes had nothing interesting and most of their vehicles felt cheap. Mitsubishi had probably the cheapest feeling vehicles of any manufacture. The interior on the GTR feels really really dated to me. Love the Recaros in the Fiesta and Focus ST but found the rest of the car interior to be smaller than had hoped. The F Type has the smallest most useless trunk space of anything. Chrysler interiors make the term "lipstick on a pig" come to mind for some reason.

Went today. Couple of things I noticed.

New infiniti Q60. Wow lack of headroom much? I had the seat all the way down and was rubbing my head really bad on the side. Way less room than my old G35.

New 2015 Sti. Pedal positioning is horrible IMO you cannot heal toe in that car at all. The car overall looked appealing but I wish the seats were more bolstered and sporty. Steering wheel was nice.

New corvette. Really nice I thought. Interior was decent for the price point. Would consider this car later.

New M3. Looked decent. But the price was over 100k as it was sitting. lol wow

No CLA45 wtf is Mercedes doing lol.

Audi interiors are super nice.

Overall was a ok car show... Nothing spectacular tho.

The new IS really surprised me in a bad way. Got in the car, stepped right on the bulge transmission tumour. The center stack looks so dated, a cassette tape will feel right at home.

The interior of the CLA250 is nothing special. The door gap inside stands out, could be the fact that I already knew too. Getting into the back seat is bit challenging, the headroom right above is similar to the A3 but the roof is sloping in from the side on the CLA too. The Ipad is odd and the number pad is a bit dated.

The inside of the 235i is nothing special. Blindfold me into the car, I couldn't tell if it's 2014.

GTI feels like a GTI lol. It's a euro spec car, wonder if we'll get the mexican ones.

ATS is trying but the execution feels american.

Didn't spend much time in the A3 since I'm gonna go test drive one as soon as they get a demo. From what I remember at the premiere, I'm starting to appreciate the simplicity of the interior comparing to the buttons galore of just about any other cars.

Quite surprised to see the HUD on the Mazda3, looks tough to clean though.

TL is boring.

The cars that really stood out to me are:

- The new Mazda3: Clean and sharp with that sloping back-end :)
- The Nissan Micra: For $10k, it's a lot of car and there's decent room in the back too! My 6'1" buddy fit just fine in the back with me in the front (I'm 5'6"). It's simple, no fuss, and better looking than the Mirage!
- Fiesta ST: Minus the lump at the center to make heel-toe awkward, it's a nice car with killer seats! Love the orange color too

One thing of note with the A3 I forgot to mention, rear headroom. My buddy I went to the show with is ~6ft. I had him position the passenger seat where his knees weren't touching the dash, and then sit behind and test if there was enough leg room. Turns out that there is, barely.

Headroom however was very different. While I could sit properly (at a staggering 5'6"), he had to crank his head pretty badly. 3 people of any size in the back is going to be quite the squeeze.

Trunk space and rear folding seats I forgot to check.

Still it's the backseat where I don't give a shit as the driver most of the time, except for road trips with 5 people and bags. I think I'll strongly be considering this vehicle in wagon form in a few years. Either this or an A4 which apparently has the better Quattro system.

GTI out of Mexico, R out of Germany. The plants are nearly identical, it's just cheaper to build and transport out of Mexico, thus why Golfs have a lower price for this gen. From what I have seen, if anything, quality control is higher.

I have fallen in love with the m235i. Going back today to take a second look.

Next step will be a test drive for sure. I really though I was set on Awd but maybe I will just buy a set of hakkapellita 8's. If people can drive c63's in the winter I can do a few years in a 2 series.

Reminds me a lot of my old favourite the e46 M3...

AWD is available in canada but I would get the RWD and throw on the optional LSD.

Yup the LSD is a must. I haven't been this excited about a car in a long time.

There's way too many people with kids and strollers to get any worthwhile pics. There should seriously be a no kids day.

A3 was nice, interior is miles ahead of competition, can't wait to see the new S3. CLA was blah. M3 was stunning, but for $100k it should.

And wtf is up with that sparkle shit on the nismo juke dash?

This girl decided to re-brush the carpet in the LFA section and just kept fucking it up more and she hit the bottom by the exhaust with the broom.... Why the fuck she felt the need to be in there in the first place I had no idea, seeing as how the carpet was untouched to begin with and she just made it worse.

Also, these 2 idiots leaning on the vettes like they were leaning posts & rubbing their asses with jeans on down the side. The amount of idiocy around expensive cars boggles my mind.

Big thing for me was all the anti collision cameras in the bumpers of cars. Seems to becoming standard equipment rapidly. Thank god I had a choice on my car.

I asked the salesperson at BMW, the M3 Starts at ~75k. the one at the show just happened to be optioned out to $1XX k.

Brakes look cool, but not many people will even get them

Nearly zero point in the carbon ceramics if you never take the car to the track, which is approx 99% of the eventual M3/4 owners.

I think this year was the last I ever go to the show.

Red neck, trailer trash, hill billy heaven. It was like bring your fucking toddler to the playground day on Saturday. I watched the same 10-12 year old kid TWICE run against the Jaguar XKR and then the GT-R with his metal chained wallet and scratch in the vehicles.

Guys were sitting inside the jags/gt-r/benz's eating chicken strips/fries/pizza in there hands. like wtf....

Dad and I laughed at the RS7 "Sold to very nice people", I sure hope that car gets re-painted or a full restoration after the show along with many others, because they took a beating.

I never saw the price of that 435M xdrive, I was curious, might be switching cars soon. I will say i expected a bit better of an interior upgrade, but I liked the console/arm center changes. Looked pretty good, I like the M4 but just not the color of it.

The Jag XKR was sexy, same with the 911, and a few others.

Was hoping an E63, Macan, Turbo and some others would have shown up.
