Poll: Which bar stool would you choose for this kitchen?

Couldn't pass up on some good deal used barstools. Both (my old ones) and newly bought used ones look pretty cool (to me)

Can't decide. Comments, opinions?

There're good and bad to both... the square ones offer a more lazy function (high back), for anyone with over 36" waist line. The circular ones are more of a cockpit feel, softer material.

Because the table is rectangular/square line shaped, the square chairs match and look like it belongs and cleaner lines than the circular to me.

Square 100%, better match plus looks more comfortable (more back support)

Making everything match is boring design. You need to add interest either through color, shape of texture. In this case it is shape.

Square ones are more comfortable. I hate the little back support and if it's for your house, you want comfort.
Friends have the low back chairs and I end up standing most of the night because they're uncomfortable after hour 1.

Definitely square.

I think the circular design could get old fast if you went with it.

I agree - square... because the island is square. Since they are both the same colour, your eye naturally wants to compare the countertop and the chair together.

Those ARE cool round chairs though.

Square because of the back support, I never liked sitting on those island high chairs (even the types at bars) for extended amounts of time though, so that's why I choose square.

wow nice, good advices Beyond. (btw, I bought square ones myself; round ones were the ones someone did a moving sale; even the seller of the round ones said square looks better)

Don't have Beyond baller money to use designers and buy custom fitted furnishings :( (rotten42), so just building bits and pieces I come across that are on sale/discount or moving sale, etc... Just making due what's on sale out there kinda deal.
