My F34 is on that ship. I hope no one else in this forum has their car on this ship.
Now I don't know how to find out whether my car is damaged or not.

Asian Emperor which left Bemerhaven on 2/1. The ship hit a major storm and their is damage to over 1000 BMWs as reported on another website. Here is the link with part of the story

I know of 2 MBs on that ship.

A 507 and a fully loaded E63 wagon with CCB headed for Montreal.

The E63 wagon owner has waited 14 months for his car. Would be sad if it was damaged.

Your link doesn't work.

The only reason I know about these two cars is that the owners have asked me to track them on CN rail for them.

That's bad. What happens when it gets damage pre delivery? Do you have to take it or can you get another one?

Not sure what the process is.
I am trying to find out information from my dealer and BMW Canada. So far they are claiming they don't have any information. It is really frustrating.

bimmerforums said 1040 cars damaged.

Some people even confirmed that their vehicle was damaged.

Do the owners of the damaged cars have to take delivery? There is no way I'd want a damaged or repaired "new" car, even if I had been waiting a long time for it.

Just spoke to the dealer and they haven't heard any thing back from BMW canada. I was told that if the vehicle had 'Signifacnt' damages it will not be shipped to the dealership.

If it is less than 3% of the value of the car, they don't have to disclose and will ship it to the dealer.

Judging by how wrecked that combine was theirs probably a lot of cars in pretty bad shape. I dont think "minor" damage will be applicable here.

So the 507 got delivered to the customer. The E63 has died. To severly damaged to deliver to the customer.

Good to hear. I have no idea what has happened to my vehicle. According to dealer ETA is mid March but they can't even give me any info on the rail car :)

If it doesn't get on the rail car this week, it was likely damaged.

Cool. Good to know.
Any one knows how to track the rail car shipping?
