Just bought a Brush Guard, and its a little rusty. What kind of grit of sandpaper should I use? After that should I prime it? Or my idea was sand it and spray it with rocker guard.

what kinda finish are you looking for?
I would strip it down with 180 and prime it. sand with 400 and paint it from there

hmm BBQ paint , intresting. Im not quite sure what kind of finish. I wanted a clear black finish but i figured it would get all scratched up in a matter of no time. So rocker guard spary or BBQ it is then. Thanks guys!

just a tough flat black will do it - like the bbq paint they mentioned, then you can just touch it up...

if you can, sandblast it :)
