Draft Specialist

Im looking for a draft specialist in Calgary that someone can recommend.

Getting a draft coming from attic down the walls which causes the tiles to become cold

I work in a completely different industry, but I come from a family of home builders.

We get a lot of strong winds in Calgary and over time, your insultation can get moved around and become uneven, especially if your soffits/vents/baffles are damaged or improperly installed.

When was your house built? Is your insulation batted or blown-in? Have you been in the attic? I suspect if you went up there and looked near the suspect area, you'd see a lack of insultation/cover. Unless you're disabled/elderly, I wouldn't pay someone to check that out. My guess is that is all it is, although you could have some damaged vents allowing too much airflow (batted insultation is your friend in this case - that is, until you decide what to do about the airflow).

I'm not sure what they are called but you can get these things for your attic that go over towards the soffits and fit between the joists. It allows the air to move over the insulation without actually moving it.
