I like that jetta. I've often thought that what most front-drive cars need to be more entertaining is some oversteer. Kinda like Mazda engineered a tiny bit of oversteer into the mazda3, this thing takes that to the next level.

Plus, corvette wheels are awesome.

That car is utterly bad ass. The speedometer on the hood
and the tach make it for me! I have similar plans down the road
with a 79-81 Z28. I'd love to have something that I could park
at costco and not give two shits if someone door dings it.

Just fast enough to get me into trouble but reliable enough
to take on road trips.

Something like below. Surface rust, faded paint but freshened up with
new struts, upgraded brakes and a Vortec 5.3 or LQ4 with a tremec t56 and of course, a classic hurst shift stick. Cassette deck and a stack of ZZ top, AC DC and other 80's butt rock.
