Pay as you go Iphone

I am wondering my dad had a I phone that the contract has now finished I am wondering is there any way to now do pay as you go with this phone

Phone number will come with the sim card , make sure iphone is unlicked, go to the carriers that have pay as u go and set it up

Which means the phone would need to be unlocked for you to be able to use it with different service providers. If the phone is not unlocked then it can only be used with the provider it came from.

You're wrong, he definitely meant unlicked. If the phone has been licked it may have water damage making the sim reader not work.

Just to be safe he should put it in a bag of rice over night to remove any potential moisture from past licks.

Yea it's definitely an unlicked phone.
Because if I had an iPhone and I licked it, it's no longer an iPhone; it's a MyPhone.

To get it unlocked at Rogers, you can pay the $50 fee and they'll just unlock it through apple. I'm pretty sure you can do the same at other providers. Source, personal experience. Much better than hacking the phone.

depends who you want to go for as a pay as you go provider
if the phone is locked to rogers you could get a chatr or speakout wireless sim and it would work

locked to telus use a koodo pay as you go sim

i believe all the major carriers also have pay as you go plans.
