View Full Version : what kind of engine is in my car

alright so i just got a new 1990 acura integra today i traded it for my 93 subaru legacy, and it drives great but i have run into a problem, the engine was swapped about 100k ago and now i am in need to know what kind of engine is in my car, it says honda motor co on it but no other letters can be found, does anyone know what kind of engine this is?

yeah you think so i just want to like know for sure because i am wanting to get a new gasket and i want to make sure i get the right one

iirc most B series (which this is) usually have the engine type stamped near where the tranny is joins, get a rag and clean off this square spot if you can't already read it:

Looks like you need to replace your cam seal btw. its a common leak point.

That's a b18a based on the valve cover.

i traded it cause my subarus engine was in terrible shape and was smoking but the guy was set on it so i was down this engine feels a lot stronger

looks like it could also be a 1.6L ZC. just verify engine code like n1zmo pointed out
