I'm skeptical as Colbert breaking out of his current character may not work well on either side of the fence.

But can't dispute the built-in audience and WTF is Jon Stewart and Comedy Central is going to do to fill that half hour now? Current crop of "reporters" doesn't seem to stand out that much.
