The 4C isn't enough for AR to make an immediate impact.

IMO, they should've brought a mainstream model to supplement the 4C, like the Giulietta.

But I read somewhere that 2015 will be a full lineup return.

Can never have enough AR, looking forward to seeing them on our streets.

Maserati, mo' Maserati....

Is the guy (standing left side) cleaning in the background wearing a fez?

Great looking car, love the idea of a high-strung turbo too. Don't love the $60k USD pricetag.

On sale this summer, I'm sure we'll see a few in the city.

The nearly 20-year wait is over – Alfa Romeo made its return to Canada at the Montreal Grand Prix, unveiling its 2015 4C two-seat sports car Thursday at the annual Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival.

“What better place to debut an all-new performance vehicle inspired by Alfa Romeo’s legendary racing history, than at a festival celebrating the largest motorsports event in Canada?” said Reid Bigland, president and CEO of Chrysler Canada, in a press release. “With its purposeful design for maximum performance, the all-new 4C coupe is sure to be the talk of the Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival.”

The Alfa Romeo 4C features a 237-horsepower, 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine and a dynamic twin-clutch transmission wrapped in a light-weight carbon-fibre body. It’s sure to go like stink as the little two-seater only weighs 998 kilograms (2,200 pounds). It goes on sale in Canada this summer. Pricing has not been announced but the base model is expected to sell for about $54,000 (U.S.) south of the border.

Dangerously close to Cayman pricing. With Cayman S's starting at $74k that hit 60 in the 4.2 second range (according to Motor Trend), I'd like to see the 4C coming in around $64k well-optioned. That'd be a great price disparity between the two and would really cause me to think twice were I buying a new Cayman.

IMO, that's pretty cheap for what you get!

That is cheap for a carbon tub car.

You guys forget.. This car's width is 78.7". It's over 10" wider than most cars.

A Costco parking space would be like a regular space for this car.

Yeah, the Top Gear episode made it's large width quite apparent.

Still excited that Alfa is coming to Canada. Hopefully we'll see a few of these in the city.

Yea ok, I'm drivin this tiny coupe but it's wider than a Lamborghini Aventador..

Edit: It's a cool car don't get me wrong, I'm just thinking of the headaches of driving this car because it's so wide. Have to really think about where I'm going before I decide to take this car out for a drive lol.

Given the trunk space, the car has no business being at Costco in the first place.

Haha Calgary roads are more than compliant to width. It's no London side-street where it was built during the 1800s.

Costco with the wide parking spots is the only place this car will fit! haha

Everytime you go to the mall, you'll have a laminated note apologizing for taking two spots on the dash.

I was at the Grey Eagle casino last night and noticed how much space I had on each side of my car. Some big ass stalls there too.

It reminds me of a Lotus Evora from the side.

May be it's for weight saving but at least give me a carry-on space in the front. As it is, the car is no better than a bike. I can't even do a weekender for 2 unless I'm going to a nudist camp.

US-Spec 4C is fatter but expected:

The linebacker-plus weight gain is partially thanks to the feds, which required a slew of safety and structural improvements over the Euro-spec model. That includes a thicker carbon fiber tub, side airbags, and an adjustable passenger seat. But it also means that the claimed curb weight of 2,495 pounds includes an estimated 33-percent take rate on options, as mandated by the EPA. P

But you can't entirely blame the federales.P

Unlike the European's 2,153-pound 4C, the U.S. model gets standard A/C and radio. Which makes perfect sense for a sports car starting at $54k. But you still have to UNBOLT the driver seat to move it up and down.P

Just less exotic consider that weight the same as Miata and 400lbs more than Exige.

Totally agreed, but it's not as if it's tipping the scales at 3,000lbs+.

F150 width is 97". That's almost 20" wider.

I believe the one delivered in US right now have to new lights, not the breast-bug ones.

Reading this it doesn't sound like it gained hundreds of lbs crossing the ocean as others have claimed. Seems the original number someone used was just for a stripped out version, not the Euro spec model.

Same weight info as the article a few posts up but with more review about the car itself.

I wonder if the Ferrari / Maserati of Alberta will get one in? Last I was in there they said they had a bunch of clients interested in them.

I doubt any Dodge/fiat dealers would get any so that might be the only local place I could think of.
