someone was using my card at a WAWA convenience store in the US for the amount of $300. good thing my mastercard company blocked it as suspicious activity.

the thing is, this card is my higher limit card so I try to be safe with it. I mainly use it locally for grocery/gas and bigger items up to $15,000. and it's just a tap for anything under $100. I don't use this card online or borrow it to anyone.

the lady over the phone don't have an answer on it yet.

so how is it possible for someone in US to be able to steal my card and uses it? :dunno:

have you had your card stolen like this before, and did you find out how it happened?

The number could have been stolen locally and then sold online.

People freak out when credit cards are stolen, but really, it's a common issue, and should not be a cause for alarm. You have zero liability for fraudulent purchases I think with all visa and mastercards. Much better than having your interac card stolen.
