Friend is looking to get an All in one PC after liking the looks/size over a laptop. And doesn't want a full desktop. I have never looked into/purchased one before so don't know the most but trying to help.

Looked at best buy in person and they really liked the HP 23, but my past experiences from laptop has me hesitant. MemX didn't have a very large selection and the prices were much higher. Trying to shoot for under 700.

I noticed the MemX asus/acer were mainly AMD, which I avoided in the past for intel.

Can anyone one here who knows a lot share some tips of what to look for, good brands vs bad? Friend isn't a fan of touch screen but I have a feeling for usage of watching movies in bed and other things it might be a good feature to almost turn into a big ass tablet? And I would then convince if so.

I just have no idea between the dell, Lenovo, gateway, HP that are lower cost which is good and not.

Help appreciated

Depending on what they are doing I'd look into a NUC over a AIO.

While AIO are nice if they ever fail or have issues they are a pain in the ass to deal with.

Intel and AMD both have small offerings in very compact sizes that can easily mount to the back of a monitor if need to be to get out of the way.

noticed that has android 4.2.2 on there, is that a pain to use? I know sticking to windows would probably be easiest otherwise

I've sold about a dozen high end AIO systems to clients. Do NOT touch Acer products. ASUS is my recommendation, as well as Lenovo.

Getting a system to do EVERYTHING for you is tough - most of the AIOs are touch screen, which most people NEVER use in an office situation.

I would get one of those mini computers that can attach onto the back of any monitor, which gives you total freedom with parts, upgrades, repairs, and monitor choice.

Something along the lines of this:

Yah unfortunately I don't know Android and neither will the user, trying to keep it as user friendly and low cost as possible without picking a lemon brand. I noticed HP had a whole bunch of them but they just scare me.

Although revelations is endorsing Lenovo and I saw a few good priced ones of those.

That looks like a decent product Mark but with a decent monitor + wireless keyboard/mouse will probably approached 900-1000?

I tried to push a laptop but she's convinced on getting the all in one after seeing them

Or a laptop that the top screen part detaches and ur left with a tablet?

I don't see how they will use an all in one in the bed for movies
