Just wondering where I can get 8 bolts ground down 1/4"? Pretty straight forward job, but I just don't have the tools. Something that is still open today or tomorrow would be even better, but I can wait until Monday.

Can't just buy shorter bolts?

Nope, I guess this should have been under a different section, but they are blind wall anchors that are being used for some floating shelves. They are a kit and the bolt that the comes with the kit are just too long for the holes in the shelves. A lot harder to drill the holes deeper than it is to get the bolts ground down a bit.

Cut them shorter with a hacksaw or Zip disk. I'm guessing the bolts are only 3/16" thick or so... 5 minutes/bolt... Use a vice or c clamp to hold them down and away you go...

Closer to 5/16" but I think you are probably right. Just got get a hacksaw and clamp it down.

Make sure you thread a nut on the (head) end of the threads of the bolt before you cut them. Otherwise if it isn't a clean cut, the bolt will never thread on once the threads are damaged. After, when you make the cut, just unscrew the nut back off and any (freshly cut) metal debris will come off the threads, so the bolt is usable. Otherwise you may need a fine file to clean up the threads so that the bolt can thread into where it needs to go.
