My 11 month walk thru is coming up for my new house and since I know dick all about home construction I plan to have an inspector inspect my home to tell me what it is wrong with it.....does beyond.ca have any good recommendations??

I used lanron inspections, they were very thorough and found a few things that I would have missed.

There website seems to be down? How much did you pay?
And question on the side...would a home builder allow my inspector to be present for the final walk through?

Accuhome Inspections (http://www.accuhomeinspections.com/)
Price sheet and sample report are available online.
I got their guy Dan. He claims to be Mike Holmes' AB #1 rated.
I can send you my report if you want. But also read this thread (http://forums.beyond.ca/st2/home-inspector/showthread.php?postid=4267199)
I paid ~50% more than what my friend paid for a similar house (don't remember who she went with); her guy didn't even go on the roof.

I forgot what I paid... but try giving him a call. (403) 870-3081
You should ask your home builder if it's allowed... I would do it separately though, since there would so much information being thrown at you during the final walkthrough, and you'll be busy marking any deficiencies in the house (paint touchups, any scuffs in the floors, appliances, etc)
