This is huge in ROK too, same with alot of S.E Asia, the whiter you are the better or something, if you're tanned you're just some poor farmer or coolie :nut:

While here the tanning bed/product industry is a worth billions :rolleyes:

What's new? This has always been a Chinese thing since forever... The whiter your skin, the more attractive you are perceived to be. Having darker/tanned skin is a purely western thing.

I personally like light skin myself... not a fan of the tanned look (and I know chicks who are crazy/obsessed about this and I can't understand it myself).

My Chinese friends tell me that the reason they don't like looking tanned is that because in Hong Kong, the "help" is often from the Philippines, where they have darker skin, and they don't want to look like the "help" lol.

Tanned = Jersey Shore type douchebags, if anyone outside North America saw that show, they'd want to be the exact opposite as well.

I prefer a tan, but jersey shore-esque orange skin is just awful. Almost as bad as looking like a ghost. There is a happy medium that I think looks best.

Just watched the video...I knew of all nose jobs, eye jobs and all that (dated a Korean...she didn't have it done but its huge there..) but didn't know people go and fuck up their legs like they showed in the video...that's just fucked up.
