Hey,

I live in a condo and park underground. My spot is right next to a pillar so it can be a little tight to get in and out sometimes. The person to the right of me parks a truck there and in the last couple years they've upgraded the truck three times and it keeps getting wider every time.

The most recent truck takes up the entire stall with maybe 4 inches on either side. I can't access my passenger side at all because there is no door clearance. The truck also has big mirrors on it that encroach into my spot and I'm worried about hitting them.

If the condo doesn't have any rules about vehicle size in the parkade am I basically screwed or is there something else that could be done?

I'd be very surprised if your bylaws don't have a requirement that people park within the confines of their parking spot. If their vehicle doesn't fit within those confines, too bad for them.

Fancy new truck doesn't have power folding mirrors?

I was on the other side of the coin myself. Had the condo board issue me a removal notice because my vehicle "hindered access to other residents parking spaces." And they drummed up a couple sections of the bylaws to make it look like they were serious. I could have fought them cuz they didn't even make sense in their argument but I chose to leave it be and park my (admittedly large) vehicle elsewhere.

Measure his stall (within but not including the lines) then measure the width of his vehicle (with and without mirrors), take pictures and submit the findings to your board or mgmt. co.

Basically if your board doesn't do something on your behalf they are useless twats.
