From CPS Facebook

"Charges Laid In Careless Driving Incident

Our Traffic Section has charged a man with a careless driving incident captured on video.

A YouTube video posted on Friday, May 9, 2014, captures a 2004 Porsche Cayenne driving northbound in the 4200 block of Crowchild Trail S.W. racing with a Ford Mustang Shelby. It also shows the Porsche speeding on 16 Avenue and Bowfort Road. N.W. Both incidents occurred on Apr. 8, 2014.

Roman Kozubskyy, 22, has been charged with careless driving and speeding under the Traffic Safety act. He will appear in court on June 27, 2014.

We were unable to identify the driver of the Ford Mustang Shelby. The investigation is now concluded.

The Calgary Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation."

Out of curiosity. I am not defending these guys in anyway. Will this charge actually stick? I mean this could have been a fictional video that was created on a computer somewhere kinda deal.

Just a question.

Still going to cost him for a lawyer though, lol.

It wont stick with even a shitty lawyer. Can't prove that's his actual car. Can't prove that's him driving.

That is of course unless he got caught on another dashcam (then at worst it's a RO ticket), or when the cops questioned him he was dumb enough to admit it.

Who cares not like it'll stick. Police lay these charges to please the public.

Just because mister police officer issued you a ticket or court date doesn't make it final

They aren't that expensive. You can pick up a barely used one for €20,000 in Greece (shipping extra of course)

It's just a Touareg with a Porsche badge. Likely has the same engine and parts. Could probably get it serviced at tunedub for cheap. Dealership would rape you though.

Have you seen what repairs cost on Touaregs? Pretty much anything other than oil changes the first step is "remove engine"
