I have recently been looking for a portable usb battery charger to charge my phone and gopro on overnight outings and for traveling. Picked up a Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation tonight however having only one USB output and not being able to charge the Mophie and a device at the same time are making me question my purchase.

Features that I would prefer to have:
-two USB outputs
-ability to charge a gopro and iphone simultaneously
-ability to charge a device while the portable charger is charging. Charge both at the same time.
-battery can be charged in a reasonable amount of time
-ability to be charged with a solar panel (also open to any solar panel suggestions that would be good for backpacking.

I am now looking at the IOGEAR Gear Power ultra capacity or the Anker Astro 3E as they seems to meet the above criteria. Not sure if one is better or if there is a different charger that I should look at. Any recommendations would be great!

I have the Anker Astro 3e but it falls short on may aspects of what you are looking for.

The Astro 3e is a great charger for a single device and it charged my Galaxy S2 3x over and does the same for my S4.

But I wouldn't recommend plugging it into the wall and charging it then running a device off of it just plug the device into the wall and charge it that way.

USB cables will also play a huge difference in charging. I went through 5 cables before I found one that would charge properly as people don't realize there is charge/data and charge only cables.

This goes down to $29.99 from time to time

And it's got a few decent reviews, but doesn't have solar.

Goal Zero seems to have a couple options that come with a portable battery and a solar panel however I talked with one of the store employees and his review wasn't as good as I would hope.

Basically, the Chargecard is a USB to Lightning (Micro USB in the Android version) cable that is shaped like a credit card when folded up. In use, the USB end flexes out from the middle of the card to meet the power-giving port, while the smaller Lightning end stays rigid to provide good durability. And, of course, the Chargecard is pretty handy for moving data.

"The size and shape, and the fact that it fits anywhere without needing to be coiled/uncoiled or being a pain to carry, make it a pretty useful tool." – Alan Henry, Lifehacker

Stuff to note: the Apple version of the Chargecard charges devices with an 8-pin Lightning port (iPhone 5/5S/5C, newer-gen iPad & iPod Touch), but the Micro USB version is also available (Android)

Startup (year or 2 old i think) out of Edmonton. Devices have 2.1A and 1A ports on them. Have a couple friends (including another beyond member) that have them and love them.

Give them a look.
