Hey guys,

I want to convert some movies to be able to play them on my ipad.

What software do you guys recommend?

I've used Handbrake before, and while it works, it does take forever to convert.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

http://www.inmethod.com/airvideohd/index.html

Stream, airplay, and convert for offline all in one. $3 in the appstore. Even 5.1 support for airplay streaming.

Okay so I tried getting air video hd but it wont work on my ipad cuz my ipad has older firmware (and I don't want to upgrade).

Any other video conversion programs to use on windows?

Or maybe handbrake is my only option? :dunno:

Flexplayer uses iTunes.

You just click and drag the video file to the app folder and bam, good to go.

I use mediacoder to convert all my videos to ipad format. You can use the specific one for i devices, or the full one and just set up your own profile. Well worth the $20 for it. I like that it has the ability to use the GPU to convert. Usually does a movie in about 10-15 minutes.

I use the VLC player (free), eliminates the need to convert most videos. If forced to convert (Xbox, etc) I must have five Mac video converters, the fastest, easiest and with the least fail is ($59 though):

Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate for Mac: http://www.wondershare.net/mac-video-converter-ultimate/

There is also a Windows version.

(free trial as well)

The VLC line of use would work for you and be free, I have it on all my computers, iPads and iPhones.
