unlocked phone problems

I unlocked my nokia 3390 using the calculator program and everything looks fine

it takes the sim card but when i try to call someone, it says "System Busy"

any ideas?

Does it do this with any SIM card you put in it?

Are you on fido? Cause mine does the exact same thing half of the call I make nowadays!!! This 8390's gonna take a flight off of the 5th floor of a parkade soon!!!!!!!

k i just tested it out
this phone was originally locked to fido
i tried 2 rogers sims and they both say system busy when i try to make a call
i then tried a fido sim and it works just fine

So when you enter the Rogers SIM everything looks OK? As in it doesn't say anything like enter provider code or something similar? Does the screen say anything at all when you enter the SIM? Does it just say Rogers AT&T?

nope it says nothing at all
it just turns on like normal

i did the same thing on my 3390 when i did it, but i had a datacable and was able to fix it!

i just thought of this though... try punching in *3370#

this will active enhanced full rate codec, something that GSM nokias sometimes need to have reactivated... ive noticed this on the 8390
