K20a2 is from a RSX Type S.

i thuoght the K-series engines spin the other way compared to the B-series and any other previous honda engine...must have taken alot of custom work to get that engine in there with the transaxle sitting right

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Well this shows that anything is possible with enough money. Must have spent alot of time fabricating engine mounts etc.

wow, in the HB!! i love hbs, and in the super street magazine, they got the RSX-S engine into the new civic si (US) the one with the "rally"shift. they said something about being p'd off because they didn't get the "R" version so they had to slamm the RSX-S engine into it.

oh yah since i don't know what "EK" stands for might as well ask, it may sound dumb.
but im thinking it means civic or something?

It doesn't mean Civic. Its a chasse code for a 6th gen Civic.

it shouldn't be too bad, cause i heard that the K-series engines are quite a bit lighter than it's B-counterparts, not sure about this, someone correct me if i'm wrong

but im thinking it means civic or something? lol its not hard to put the a2 into the new sirs cuz the sir already uses a k20a3 (same block). the only differences is mostly stuff in the head (dohc ivtec instead of sohc ivtec)...ecu tuning...etc

but the CTR does come with the rsx-s engine

The 2002 SiR is a DOHC.

Originally from Honda.com
The 2.0-liter, 16-valve DOHC (dual overhead camshaft) 4-cylinder engine has a lightweight, rigid aluminum-alloy block with integrated steel main bearing caps for added strength and durability.

Dude, I know that it's DOHC. I should have clarified though. When I said "SOHC iVTEC", I meant that iVTEC only works the intake camshaft, not the exhaust camshaft. The A2 has DOHC iVTEC which means iVTEC is working on both camshafts.
