FS: Rackmount 2U server - previously used as a VMWare server. Everything works great.
- Tyan S7012 Motherboard
- 2u Chenbro case with 12x 3.5"/2.5" drive bays (caddies included) for SAS/SATA drives
- Dual Xeon e5520 processors
- 24GB REG ECC DDR3 RAM (12 slots populated of 18 so there is room to continue adding more)
- Dual redundant PSU + two spare power supplies with an AC failure alarm
- 4x 1Gbps NIC onboard
- 2x 1Gbps Intel NIC installed
- Internal USB slot - Nice boot option if you want all of the drive bays available for storage or RAID
- There are 3 PCIe slots available
- IBM M1015 flashed to an LSI 9211-8i firmware for SAS/SATA. It has 8 internal connectors running the lower eight drive bays of this server. The top 4 bays run off of the onboard SATA controller. Note: the SAS card does not have a rear mounting bracket, but I've never had any issue with it.
