I am planning to raise my car in about a month and get rid of my wheels in favour of steelies for winter. Do I need to get an alignment and balancing done.

you will need an alignment if you adjust the height of your car.

Probably just an alignment... balancing only pertains to the tires/wheels.
I think you may be able to get away with not aligning it if you aren't going up that high...

Right now I am all the way down on GC's, (2.5") and for winter I wanna go back to stock height so I guess I should probably get an alignment done. :dunno:

Any adjustments done to a vehicle will alter most of your alignment angles especially Camber
