Have any of you heard of or used hyperwallet before?

I've got a renter who is transferring me money over it but I've never used it (or heard of it) until now. It says it's safe and an easy way to use email money transfer but it also says I need to sign up for an account and it will cost me money to receive the money in my account...

Thoughts? TIA!

I've never heard of it....and in this market, why bother getting into something sketchy like that? Just e-transfer and call it a day.

shouldn't you be the one dictating what payment method you take, not the renter?

I told him to email money transfer me and that was how he sent it. Just thought I'd check before replying and tell him to send it a normal way through one of the big banks.

Hyperwallet has been around for quite some time. I remember using it years ago as it was being promoted on eBay before they bought Paypal. I never had an issue using it.
