Let's see your lists - top 10 unmanly vehicles...

For me and I'm going back a bit on some of these...
VW bug/beetle
Toyota Prius
Mitsubishi i-MiEV
Any micro-sized Japanese imports
Chevrolet Cavalier 3rd generation (1995-2005)
Honda Civics (although the first gen I saw today was pretty cool)
Mazda Miata (yeah, I know they're quite a decent sports car but still)
Jaguar E-type (again cool car but still)
Smart ForTwo
AMC Pacer
It was actually tough keeping the list at ten and I suspect I might have to repost as I think of others.

I'll concede that most lifted 4X4's are manly - the Chev Astro that a friend of mine dropped onto an old Chev Jimmy lifted 4x4 chassis with a nitrous big block stuffed into it, most definitely not unmanly. Most old North American muscle - again not unmanly, something about a big displacement V8 thumping along.

Take your shots.

Off to Grey Eagle - land of not many unmanly vehicles.

Agree with your list except the E-Type. I don't see anything unmanly about arguably the best looking car ever built.

These are in no particular order, just chick cars in my mind.

1) Toyota Supra
2) VW Beetle
3) Mercury Cougar
4) Mercedes Kompressor
5) Mitsubishi Eclipse
5) Toyota Corolla
6) Jeep Liberty
7) Mazda Miata
8) Smart fortwo
9) Fiat 500
10) Honda Ridgeline

That is my list that you would never find me in, except for the fortwo for car2go sometimes.

Can they really be called unmanly vehicles if you aren't man enough to not give a fuck about what other people think?

1) VW Beetle
2) MB SLK
3) Audi TT
4) VW EOS
5) Mazda Miata
6) Porsche Boxter
7) Fiat 500
8) Toyota Prius
9) BMW Z3
10) Saturn Sky

I will add the caveat that some of these are fantastic cars. I have thought of buying my fiancé about half of them haha.

Why is the Mercury Cougar on there? This (http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/q0VsWbopnwg/maxresdefault.jpg) is unmanly?

And you would never be seen in a Fiat 500 Abarth or a Miata (I'm biased)? Damn. You're missing out on two super fun cars.

I also don't think I've ever seen a woman drive a Ridgeline. I always thought it was the perennial second fiddle to the Nissan X-Husband.

Ive yet to ever see a chick drive a 4th gen supra, not once.... usually its just people that know what those cars are capable of, and frequently see them extensively modded. Older Supra's okay..... but the 93's and up, just performance freak dudes drive them.
:dunno:

IDK about the Saturn Sky's. The 2.0L turbo (redline version) ones can be made HELLA fast, and Ive seen a couple LSX swaps in them, which is just nutty power for such a small car. I REALLY wanted a Sky Redline when they first came out, but the car was axed before I could ever buy one. :thumbsdow

Okay fine.

The Cougar's after the gen I posted are mushy. I wouldn't say unmanly. The latest one maybe. But the one before just looks like a senior's car, like the Cadillac Catera.

Amendment: Lifted trucks are unmanly if they are post 2003. The squareish ones are dope.

Lifted Smoke Spewing Diesels....

They are an ATTEMPT to compensate and become manly, so they are the most unmanly.

Anyone that thinks doing burnouts is cool. Who cares what car it is, it's simply unmanly to pound your chest, shows your UNMANLYNESS.

REAL men have no need to peacock.

So, the CARS don't make you unmanly. It what you do to them/with them that does.

I'm not going to bother with a full list but I will add in a mid '80s Mercury Lynx, the forgotten twin to the Ford Escort. An old girlfriend had a brown four door hatch, completed with the "guess which gear" slushbox four speed stick. That thing had more play in gear than most cars do in neutral. Holy hell that thing was brutal right down to the tweed print seat fabric. It had more body roll than Honey Boo Boo's mama. 0 - 60 in never. But she loved it.

If he gets whipped into getting a minivan, I think it's 100x more likely it is something like a bone stock Sienna. Not anything that looks half decent (for a minivan) like the above photo.

Now throw 3 or 4 kids a fat wife and sports gear for the weekend in there and see how well things work out lol

No reason on Earth why not to own a pickup when you have a normal sized family. Other than being whipped by your wife.

Minivans RULE.

Cannot beat the space and convenience, better on gas and mores space than an SUV, smaller, better accessibility, now with dual sliders etc. You would need a fullsize suburban to match the minivan for space.

It is the ultimate practical family vehicle.

I will never minivan, NEVER!

I pushed for that as a joke (but really just secretly gauging interest) with the fiancee, No minivans or wagons I was told, but if they sold these things here, I'd buy one anyways if I had to haul children (not slammed of course):

Reason #1: Shitty gas mileage

Reason #2: Significantly less passenger room than a minivan

Reason#3: there's no fucking reason to own a pickup unless you're using it for work purposes or towing/filling the box with heavy shit on a regular basis

Reason #3a: they're hulking masses of bullshit that take up too much goddamn room on the road when there's no reason for them to be there.

Reason #4: Fuck this, I'm moving to somewhere in europe that's never heard of a pickup truck before.

lol, I agree on all points.

My wife doesn't want to get a Minivan, but I'm slowly convincing her. I want a vehicle I can transport 4x8 sheets of cabinet grade plywood in full covered and protected.

And I've already got a pretty nice Wagon :)

Yeah, we are that way too. The fiance doesn't want a minivan, but they are DIRT CHEAP, and the best solution to a family and dog(s). The long ones with stow away seats are just bad ass.

The ONLY downside is when we want to tow the race car somewhere to race. Truck is out of the question, it's too small inside. So the other option is a fullsize Suburban.

My wife said she'd divorce me if I bought a minivan. Although I had no intentions in doing that. It brought tears to my eyes when she said that to me.

If we make anymore kids I'm trading the truck in for an excursion.

K let's get one thing straight- The only time "minivan" and "bad ass" should be in the same paragraph is when talking about the ones driven by secret service or some organized crime group kidnapping/hit squad lol

Have you seen the interior of the new F-350's? Those will tow 4 of your race cars your whole clan and all the gear you need with elbow room to spare. Sometimes I think a gay redneck molested you in his pickup when you were a kid, your hate for trucks is hard to match lol

Yup. they tow. But that's it. Still less space than a minivan. Especially when you stow the seats, throw a couple sleeping bags in the back, and watch some dvd's with the kids etc.

Mini vans are bad ass. Smoke spewing, gas guzzling lifted diesels are gay.

Didn;t you watch 21 Jump street? lol

Man, they need to bring back a modern version of the Chev Astro - with our last one, we could haul 4x8 sheets of plywood, 10 foot lumber/pipes and the V6 we rebuilt in ours could chirp the tires in second gear with ease. Friend of ours put a small block Chevy vV8 in his and that thing was crazy fast. Lots of ground clearance - so much so that the RWD models could go many amazing off-road places. Great trailer pullers as well.

I think the only real pickups in Europe are Yota Hiluxs (http://www.toyota-europe.com/cars/new_cars/hilux/index.tmex) , other than that, it seems Europe has done fine without the monstrous stuff we have here.

In Asia as well I guess, all trucks are more or less the same size as a dual cab Frontier, even the Tacoma would be 'large' in Asia.

That's easy... you can put a 4x8 sheet in quite a few minivans that stow seats or are removable , and some of them have close to 300hp.

Sienna, Odyessy, Caravan gen 3,4,5 etc...
