HI,
being just curious to ask this one!
recently i got new AC cond done for my civic and was looking to get it recharged.
normal rates around are 140-150. So whats this AC charger thing that you can buy from CTire and charge your system yourself? Does it do proper job? I am not trying to get it done cheap but just curious as you have already noticed i am bit dumb on auto things! :)
any suggestions where to get this done?? else am going to honda. Thanks!

Go to Honda.

They will properly inspect your AC system to make sure there is no leaks, before charging your AC-system.

I can't believe how many times we had customers drive up asking for there AC to be re-charged again (at shady shops, or DIY kits) , and having our techs finding leaks.

Iv used the DIY kit with success but if there is a leak or your system is full of water then you are out of luck.

A proper shop will draw a vacuum first to extract all the garbage and check for leaks then refill with proper 410a.

The Crappytire 12a stuff is also quite dangerous from what i hear.

I believe beyond has a sponsor who specializes in AC? Anyone remember?
