Sim cards and numbers

So my brother has moved to Canada and he is in AB for a couple of weeks before moving to BC. Can he get a sim card here and then change the number in BC when hes there or is that not possible?

Yes. He can sign up for an account now with an AB number and then once he moves he can change the number to a BC one.

yes he can, most providers will do it for free.

I believe Fido/Rogers did it free as along as there was a month in between
