I doubt many hackers will have access to a Tesla.

I'm quite sure it'll end up hacked eventually, but 48 hours probably isn't enough time for what they're requiring for the payout.

So who is putting up the 10K :dunno: The conference organizers.

Nice to see remote exploits still since the full communication bus is based on TCP/IP.

Seems like they are trying to get ahead of the curve.

Don't want people breaking your cars? Pay them to sign a non-disclosure!

Haha but from a safety point its probably not good to mess about with that.
However, I see electric car hacking to be a thing of the future. Push the safety stuff out of the way for faster 1/4 times.

Just to back up Xtrema:

I have seen videos of ppl hacking a prius and i swear they have done a few others, its quite alarming to see how much they had gained access to. So hacking a tesla id believe it, and if sucessful im sure tesla will want to have a chat with said individual too lol.

The Prius was with full physical access. Once you start splicing and crap, you can do a lot. While it's still worrying it's not as critical as remote exploits.

May be I'm just paranoid because I was playing a bit too much Watch Dogs lately.
