Anywhere to buy packaged Onigiri?

When Kris_YYC and I went to Tokyo earlier this year I gorged myself on those triangle Onigiri things from 7-11. Decadence for a dollar.

Anyways, is there a place in Calgary to buy them? They make a great snack I would love to stock up.

T&T has them, also Safeway and Sobey's in their sushi sections. Though there are nowhere as good as Japanese ones

Hard to find here, overpriced when you do. They're easy to make at home though, rice, nori and your favorite filling. I like to add furikake to the rice as well. They sell different shaped onigiri moulds online as well ie. ebay, but I find things like small tubberware containers work as moulds as well. I found in Seattle they have a chain of Japanese grocery stores, Uwajimaya, that sell the Onigiri Nori plastic wraps so you can package them just like the stores and they stay crispy on the go.

Bump. Has anyone had any luck finding any in the city? I raided T&T a few times now to no avail. Would really like to pick some up as its one of my favourite snacks!

have you checked e-mart? I can't say I have looked but it seems like something they may have. I used to get these all the time in seoul.

I had them in Seoul as well, mind you they weren't as good as what I had in Japan. I'll check e-mart next time I'm in that neck of the woods.
