Hello Beyonders!

I'm excited to announce a new motorcycle program we have just brought on board at Touchstone Insurance. In the past we have struggled to write sport bikes at what I would consider to be a reasonable price. It's something that I as a rider have been uneasy with for my entire career. Well, it looks like the problem has been solved. We can now write sport bikes for riders at least 21 years of age, class six or no, at a VERY reasonable price. I've done three policies in the last two days as test runs and been able to essentially cut the premiums in HALF! So, if you're not already a client of Touchstone and you have a sport bike with any other carrier we would LOVE to work up a quote for you.

I think I'll just respond in the thread instead of PMing everyone...lol.

For existing clients, when your policy comes up for renewal, just give us a call / email and we can look into it. Unfortunately due to the massive number of policies & clients we can't catch each one on our end. Normally a policy renewal form is mailed out about a month ahead of time. Give us a shout when it lands in your mailbox and we can look at each specific file and see if it makes sense to move.

Cheers!
Bill

Are you still charging the $100 application fee to write motorcycle policies?

Sometimes $100, sometimes $50, sometimes $0. It depends on the situation.

My SV1000 was cheap enough as is - I make every effort to tell my friends in BC how much less motorcycle insurance is here ($350?) and how ICBC loves to hose riders - and now I find out its possibly even less ???

Just quoted full coverage on three different Ducati models today, all under $500 a year to insure.

Now if you could make autopac wake the fuck up in Manitoba and quit hosing us here you'd really be the man!

This makes me sad lol. I just renewed a few months ago too.

Curious to see the differential but I'm sure you have better things to do with your time haha. Oh well, next year.

Autopac, SGI & ICBC all seem to be crazy on bike insurance and I don't think Ontario is much better.

For those that don't know, Autopac is the government insurance overlord in Manitoba. Growing up under the communist regime of SGI, I have no love for government insurance and that includes Autopac & ICBC.

BUMP for Masked Bandit / Touchstone.

My '07 Yamaha MT-01 (1670cc) was $914.85 through State Farm (with another bike on the policy) for $1mm full coverage/$1000 deductible. Masked Bandit's motorcycle underwriter did it for $474 (with a second bike) for the same $1mm full coverage, and only $500 deductible. Savings = $440.85 (plus half the deductible)

He also insured my newly acquired '09 Suzuki M109 (1800cc) for only $502 full coverage ($1mm/$500ded). I don't know what it would cost elsewhere, but I know some underwriters have a hard-on for big cc bikes and would have required a second mortgage for 1800cc.

tl;dr: Call Masked Bandit for your insurance already. House, cars, bikes, boat, the guy is a rockstar. And it's not just low prices, it's the awesome advice I get every time I make changes.

If you can get mine lower than 100 a month I'd be pretty damn happy. This bike was almost 400 a month for riding season in Manitoba. It's why my friend sold it to me.
