It's odd when this actually happens. We were way too excited to see each other. On 16th, eastbound just past Stony Trail.

I freak out when I see the same gen of Miata, clown shoes are much rarer, if I was you this would get me way too excited.

EDIT: Try the bimg tags instead of img. The picture won't it on my screen but maybe that's because I'm on mobile.

I'm on the 17" monitor at work, still doesn't fit. bimg FTW.

Also, I've never owned one, but I always smile when I see these.

I actually don't mind that design.
The design I hated from BMW was this:

I always thought if they shoved an M3 M50 or M52 in those 3 series compacts they would be pretty decent little rockets.

It's a Z3 so it only has the 2.8. That being said, it would still be a really fun car but it's an auto as well. I wonder how tough/expensive it would be to perform a swap.

lol the E36 compact aka BMW Aztec. I have one. Cheapest car BMW ever made FTW. Most powerful motor it came with had 138hp...engine swapped in mine to an e46 330/530/X3 engine that makes around 240hp.

The same suspension setup as the BMW Z3. Hybrid suspension, E36 components in front, E30 in back. It handles okay, and I'd say a decent enough platform for drifting.

The E46 compact wasn't available in North America. Thank god. E36/E46 compact are the closest "ancestors" or "predecessors" to the 1 series according to Wiki.

Some mods and Compact can actually look real good, but literally everyone will say may as well get a Coupe as it isn't "trunk challenged" and looks worlds better out the box (obviously). E36 compact lightest of the E36 gen bodies but only by ~40lbs compared with Coupe body. You're asking what's the point. But hatchback doe.

Back on topic, forever mirin' the Shoe. I believe I've seen that same black Shoe and parked near it at Kingsway Mall one time. The way the rear flares out = hnnnng dat azz.

I didn't even see you take a picture, but yeah, that would be me :) I was taking a friend of mine for a spin and a few minutes earlier he mentioned that he's never seen an M coupe before and then to our surprise we saw you merging on to 16th; we both went nuts when we saw you pull up. I recognized your coupe based on the picture in your signature, but wasn't 100% sure it was you as I remember seeing you were from Edmonton.

Any details on your coupe buh_buh? Pictures would be awesome as well.

mcoupebuyersguide is an awesome resource for all the M coupes, but I noticed that sometimes there is a bit of time before he catches the ones in Canada, which is sort of a good thing if you're on the hunt :) Even though I finally have one in my garage I can't seem to stop checking that site on a daily basis.

There are a couple for sale locally, however the prices are definitely on the steep side.

2000 M coupe for $49k which is just outrageous

1999 M Coupe for 30k which is still up there

1999 M Coupe for 27k which is up there as well and I'm guessing you would have to pay GST on this one as well

Haha, that's funny. My brother and I were talking about the exact same thing. "The best part about owning these things is you NEVER see another one."

BAM! Ran right into you.

Haha, yeah it was awesome; you're the first one that I've seen in a very long time. I'm pretty amazed on the amount that have been popping up on kijiji, but they seem to come and go pretty quick if they are priced right. A black one popped up a few days ago that mcoupebuyersguide hasn't caught yet, but at 28k for a 2000 with 92k seems up there.

If you're ever in town and feel like going for a cruise feel free to give me a shout and I'll gladly meet up. Would be cool if buh_buh came out as well, but he hasn't responded to this thread in a while so not too sure if he would be too interested.
