It's not really a motorcycle but will be classified as one so they don't need to meet at the crash test requirements. I don't really like how it's 3 wheels, but may still be really fun and not carry the stigma of the dreaded Can-Am Spyders. Under 1800 lb, 173 HP GM Ecotec motor.

Polaris Site:

We are currently in the process of finalizing provincial approval to sell SLINGSHOT in Canada. Unfortunately we cannot provide an exact date as to when we will have our approval, but we are working diligently to have this complete as soon as possible. Please take the time to sign up to our email list and we will notify as soon as our application is approved. Thank you for your interest in SLINGSHOT!

Sounds interesting for something potentially under 25k OTD that's under 5 seconds. I don't think there is anything else in this segment like this.

I highly doubt we'll be getting them in the 25k range, we always get fucked on prices up here. I'd buy a lightly used one for 20-23 but I bet they won't start below 35.

It's unfortunate that they look like a bad chinese knock off of the KTM X-Bow.... minus a wheel.

^ I was just going to say that, its like a three wheeled X-bow.

Personally I think we'll be seeing even fewer of these on the roads then we do Caterham's.

Frankly, Id much rather buy a used Ford Mustang GT convertible then one of these, a roof when you need it, HVAC, a trunk.... just 1000 times more practical, and can be had for less then one of these would cost.

Well, the X-Bow is like 80k+.

Polaris site (Canada) already put the price at $21,999, while US MSRP is $19,999. So maybe there is hope.

I think it'll be a fun toy in the summer to bring the girlfriend along or something.

1800 pounds for something this size is a LOT of weight, I'd be interested to see why.

Yeah, shave the weight down 400+ lbs, add a wheel and use a japanese motor.

I think it looks pretty cool. My moms friend is interested in one... But I don't think he will pull the trigger.
