I need to pick 2 last minute tickets up leaving between the 16th and 19th at the latest, and returning 28th-30th. Wondering if there is a good place to get (or a way to get) good deals on the tickets YYC to YQM and return.

Looking for better price than directly off the air canada or westjet websites if it is possible even.

Flying last minute domestically is always going to cost you. Especially anything between Alberta and the east coast. You will always find the best price for WJ flights on their own website.

I know in advance is best, But I did not have that option for this trip. I have found on flightcenter's website is a saving of $100 round trip each ticket. so I am probably just going to go through them.

Was that any better than what Google flights proposes?

I've used Hotwire for booking hotels last minute with great success. Basically you state your price range and the dates you need, the system "auctions" off your price range at hotels in the zone you pick and see who's willing to sell you their (often higher priced) rooms for your price range. My wife and I did it for one of our anniversaries down in West Hollywood and for $200US, we got a $450/nt Penthouse suite right on the strip. The only negative was we couldn't choose the hotel ourselves, just the star rating, price, and location.

Hotwire does have a flight option too but I've never used it. If others have, perhaps they can comment? Maybe worth a try OP? Again, you probably won't be able to choose the airline if it's important for you.

Careful about Flighthub - one of the few websites that tries to up-sell "24 hour cancellation insurance" by default with a big fee if you don't accept it and want to cancel. Most airlines and travel sites let you cancel for free within 24 hours.
