Anyone know much about this car? Especially year 2000 model?

Wanted one of these for a long time, but afraid of the maintenance cost.

Will not be daily driven, but want to be able to just start it up and drive whenever I want to without having to bring it into a shop every other month.

Please advise.

I own 2 of them, maintenance cost are subjective. What year is the truck specifically? If it's actually a 2000 then it's a gray market truck and has a little bit better of a build quality than the 2002+ mbusa trucks.

What are your thoughts on the ones between 2005-2006? the G55 AMG?

05-06 are great, the electrical issues that plagued the 02-04s were resolved. The supercharger will have a shelf life however so keep that in mind.

Seems decent to me, low mileage, and I'm not paying $50K for a 10 years old vehicle.

What exactly grey market means? Imported from somewhere else? Are parts hard to find? What else should I pay attention to?

Grey market means it was never sold in our country but imported in for resale or use. That's a Japanese one if I'm not mistaken, inline 6, not v6. so g320. Its a 1996 iirc, theyre great trucks. See Rocky at Lonestar for parts. Like any car parts can be pricey or cheap.
